I have a strong feeling that the woman has committed suicide and I'm basing my assumption on the following observations:
ReplyDelete1. The lamp has been switched off and a written note is lying on the table which could probably be a suicide note. If it was a murder, the murderer wouldn't care about removing her specs or switching off the lamp.
2.If it was a murder, the scene would be messier and the blood would have been scattered all over the scene.
3. The alcohol (assuming) on table, empty bottles in the dustbin and cigarette in her hand (also the packet on the table) are clear indicators of the person being in severe depression. This is a valid and obvious argument to claim that she ended her life.

suryaa, all your assumptions did make sense..but you pointed out that she mightve committed suicide as she was in depression. you brought the alcohol and cigarette into the limelight. but as i mentioned in my comment If she was a smoker or a person who consumes alcohol due to depression, i don't think being addicted to it, would have made her throw the bottle into the dustbin(which no consumer of alcohol would do) or leave her last smoke incomplete.
My perception contradicts all your observations as i think it is a pre-planned murder. Firstly, drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes are not indications of a person in depression. She might have even been doing it to battle the cold weather and get some warmth or maybe something else.
DeleteA murder scene need not be messy if the murderer had planned it well and had shot the victim hiding from a fairly farther distance (might as well be inside the house).
The lamp getting unplugged would have happened accidentally when the victim would have fallen from the chair after she was shot.
DeleteAm I to assume that all people who smoke and drink are in depression? What if it was a close range shot?
A person who commits suicide need not necessarily care to unplug the lamp. And the room is scattered enough,we could see the chair not in normal position and absence of one slipper. And a person wouldn't try to kill herself in such residential place with a gun.
DeleteReply from Shakthi Prarthana. 2018103062
DeleteNote that the lamp is not switched off , it is plugged out ... It may be accidentally plugged out when the murderer pushed her .... And the specs might have fallen during her defense and the murderer might have kept that on the table ..... And the letter may not be written by her as usually a suicide letter is not much short...
A person who drink or smoke need not to be a depressed one and the one who have to commit sucide . If it is a murder the blood have to scattered over the room floor and the room should be even more messier but it is not needed in case of the murderer is a familiar person to the victim . There is no mean that a person who's going to kill themselves have to plug off the lamp .

Before I make my educated inference on whether the scene shown is a suicide or homicide, I'd like to point out significant evidence on why it could be my conclusion:-
First and foremost, the victim has a cigarette in her left hand which allows me to consider the possibility of her being left handed.
There are other features about this picture that support this possibility.
For example, the lamp is placed on the right end of the table facing towards the left. A right handed person would have it oriented the other way since keeping it like this would result in casting a shadow over what you're writing. So it's safe to assume the person is left handed.
Moreover, there are papers arranged on the table oriented as a right handed person would. But at the same time, the pen is placed on the left end indicating the victim (probably) dropped pen on the left side in shock when the murderer walked in.
Similarly, everything in the victim's room is oriented to the left (the pack of cigarettes, the plate etc)
The only thing that is right side oriented are the papers and dustbin. However the dustbin is placed against the corner of the room, which is usual practice. I do not have any justification for the papers being placed the other way.
In conclusion, the overwhelming evidence leads me to think the victim is left handed.
If so, it would be completely unnatural for the victim to have the gun in their right hand(as in the picture). To add to the evidence, the blood stain is on the right wall, which shouldn't be physically possible since the gun being in the right hand indicates the victim shot herself in the opposite direction.
Thereby, it is my inference that the provided scene points more towards it being a murder rather than a suicide.

Reuel, your way of handling this case is indeed commendable, but i contradict with you in one term. you placed all your arguments on one issue..that she is left handed..you concluded to this opinion on the fact that the lamp is placed to the right and aligned in a way suitable for a lefthander. but as i mentioned in my comment the plug point is just below the lamp and the wire isn't that very lengthy .she might have kept the lamp there without any other option.
S.SRIHARI
ReplyDelete2018103601
I'm voicing out my views in a way that you agree with me that the above is an example of a murder.According to an earlier comment, the lamp kept on the right indicates that she is left handed but if we see properly, the plug point is just below the lamp and the wire isn't that very lengthy .she might have kept the lamp there without any other option. It's dark outside indicating evening or night, so she might have wanted to feel the breeze and spend time with nature. The murderer would have jumped into the room through the window. the picture shows as if the windows are closed but actually it might not be so when he came in. since he jumped inside , the lamp would have fallen down. That's why the plug point isn't connected. as it is dark she would have definitely switched on the lamp to write something otherwise she wouldn't be able to see what she is writing . the lamp must be initially on but when he jumped through the window the lamp might have fallen down and so the wire could have been detached from the plug point. the gun is clearly that of the murderer but I think he didn't use it. rather, after jumping in he would have choked her throat right away. had he used the gun the blood stains can be spotted all over the room, but we can't find a single blood stain even on the flower vase kept nearby. but it was spread only on the wall. as I said he might have pushed her to the corner of the room, to get the support of the wall and apply pressure on her throat. as a result the blood is found all over the wall. may be in a hurry to leave he would have forgotten that he had left one of his slippers. the murder trying to be oversmart, arranged things right in place but he didn't realise that he didnt connect the wire to the plug point, and he didn't take back his footwear . and inorder to deceive this incident as a suicide,he might have placed the gun on her hand and he himself might have written a suicide note which appears to be placed there. Moreover he has closed the window before leaving the house...so that investigators eliminate the thought of someone coming in through the window. If she was a smoker or a person who consumes alcohol due to depression, i don't think being addicted to it, would have made her throw the bottle into the dustbin(which no consumer of alcohol would do) or leave her last smoke incomplete.
thus i conclude that the above incident is a murder

The points you have provided provides justification for your final conclusion. However I do believe that the aspect of the windows is irrelevant to this situation and does not provide any form of evidence. Entering via the window would have been risky since it's in direct view of the victim ( if she was at the table). Another point where our opinions differ is the ownership of the slipper. A clever thief who took the time to arrange the papers, and lamp and place the gun in the victim's hand would not clumsily leave behind evidence so blatantly obvious connecting him/her to the crime. The slipper therefore must belong to the victim.

This looks like a clear case of Murder. Here are my assumptions:
1) The person is clearly left-handed. The lamp is placed to the right side which is again a common tendency for a left-handed person. She is even holding a half burnt cigarette in her left hand so she obviously didn't shoot herself.
2) Basic human behaviour suggests that we tend to finish all our work before committing suicide. So she would have finished her cigarette first before having to kill herself.
3) She's holding the gun the opposite direction where the blood splatter is at. The point of impact and the blood splatter speak otherwise.
4) When you commit suicide by gun your body releases all tension, meaning the gun would not be in their hand.
5) The light is unplugged, and you can see (what seems like) the night sky in the window. How could the person write a suicide note in the dark?
Thank You :)

ReplyDeleteI guess the scene portrays a murder based on the assumptions described below:
If u notice the pen (on the table) it is placed in such a way that she has not finished her writing yet.
Also the way she holds the cigarette on her left hand, the juice bottle on her left side says that she might be a left handed person. Being a left handed person why would she use her left hand to shoot herself....also when one commits suicide the body will lose its grip of holding things...so practically speaking ,the murderer should have placed the gun on her right hand to divert the investigators.
I am convinced that it is a murder. But we could see that there is a chance the person could be ambidextrous. Only this evident cannot be supported.

ReplyDeleteIt was murder absolutely a murder .
She must be writing something probably that person must be a writer , having a note on the table doesn't mean that it is a sucide note that person was thinking of what to write and get bored so he/she started to smoke that's also the reason for the light's off and someone known to that person must came to meet her that person is also the murderer .
At first the killer just start to speak to him/her but eventually the killer finished his purpose of visit and to make the scene to look like a sucide . He made the crime scene to the arrangement as shown but what the killer kind of forget is that the dead person is a left hander . As everyone said that person is a left hander by the placement of the coke , ash tray , cigarette on the hand and the way the specs is placed(being a left hander and wearer of specs I can say that) . If it is a sucide he/she must've completed the cigarette . the blood is splashed on the right side , the gun is placed on the right hand of the dead person (it's kind of impossible to happen as the blood splash has to be on the left side wall) the blood splash on the wall should be on the right side wall both for sucide and murder but the placement of the gun makes it clear that it should be a murder.

Seeing the picture, I feel that it is a planned murder. I have noticed few things that led to this conclusion.
1. Seeing the picture, we can see that the study lamp is placed on the right hand side and the papers are aligned as a right hand person would do. But a right handed person wouldn't place the lamp on the same side. And the other things like a plate or tin are placed on the left hand side. So the person must be a left handed. But the gun is in the right hand. And no person who is committing suicide will shoot themselves with the other hand.
2. Suppose, let us assume that the girl shot herself with the right hand. Then the gun should have dropped from her hands. But it hasn't, it is still in her hands.
3. The cigarette in her hand must have been kept by the murderer. It was just to fake that she was under depression and has ended her life. There is only one cigarette packet in the room. Probably the girl doesn't even smoke and it was kept by the murderer.
4. Even if she was a smoker then she would have smoked the whole cigarette and then shot herself, because that's what smokers do especially depressed people. (generally they smoke the whole cigarette before doing anything).
5. Let us assume that she didn't smoke the whole cigarette. But the cigarette should have completely burnt by then. But it isn't.
6. The blood splash on the wall and the gun in her right hand are on the same side. By that wouldn't happen. The blood should have splashed on the other side. So the murder should have shot her and kept the gun in her hand to seem it like a suicide.
Hence I conclude that it is a murder and not a suicide

ReplyDeleteThe cigarette and alcohol bottle might lead us into thinking the girl was depressed and consequently committed suicide. But I believe it's a murder based on the following assumptions:
1. The first thing I noticed was the cigarette in her left hand, but that didn't convince me into thinking she was left handed, the fact that most of the objects on her desk are oriented towards the left did.The papers and the pen are placed on the left and the lamp is on the right. If she were right handed the orientation would've been the opposite.
So, if it were a suicide, she wouldn't have held the gun in her right hand.
2. There is only one slipper lying on the floor. If it were a suicide, and she simply shot herself, there is no reason for her slippers to be off her feet and fall in different places. This suggests that it could've been a murder and her slippers fell off while she was trying to escape the murderer.
3. The gun is held firmly in her right hand, and if she had shot the gun ,due to the recoil force and the impact, she would've definitely dropped the gun. Hence, it was most likely a murder.
4. The lamp is unplugged, suggesting it was toppled over, got unplugged, and was set back upright(by the murderer).
5. The cigarette in her left hand is unfinished. There is no reason for her to shoot herself while smoking midway.
All these reasons convinced me that it was a murder and not a suicide.
Although we differ in our ways of concluding the handedness of the victim, the way you’ve analyzed the slippers part is indeed proficient and commendable Abirami. As you said, its safe to assume that the slippers belonged to the victim herself and one of the two could’ve fallen somewhere else in the room during her struggle to save herself from the murderer unlike my perusal of the same.

1.She's holding the gun in right hand...If she had shot herself, the blood stain would have been on the other side (left side) This makes a clear cut view that it is a murder...
2.As she's holding the pen in left hand, it's obvious that she's a left hander. But in the picture, the gun is in her right hand...It create doubts about the incident..
3.The killer would have probably killed her using that gun..and after all this had happened,he could've made it as if it was a suicide..
4. The letter seems to be unfinished...No suicider would write a half-note about his/her suicide.
5.The cigarette seems to be unlit..Suppose if she was smoking ,it would be turned into ashes when police arrived..The killer could've probably created this suicide scenario by placing cigarette in her hands .
These inturn made me to think that it was a murder..

It’s a murder, not a suicide....
Here’s few reasons why it’s not a suicide:
Lamp plug is pulled off!
No one would bother doing it before a suicide.
No visible bullet marks on the wall!
A close-range shooting pierCes bullet through the body parts.
Gun is still in her hand!
Gun exerts a force opposite to direction of bullet and it’s impossible for gun to remain in hand after shooting oneself.
She didn’t finish the cigar and pen is not closed with it’s cap!
People committing suicide tend to finish all work.
Table is placed horizontally under the bench touching the front wall!
Why would someone place a table in such an awkward position after getting up from table?
She’s a left-handed and won’t shot herself with right-hand!
She’s a left-handed as visible from pen and cap’s position from paper as well as hand holding cigar. Left-handed person won’t do such a serious task with right hand!
Keshav 2018103038
DeleteWhile I agree with you that it is a murder (judging by the lamp and the position of the hand/gun), it is not necessary for the bullet to leave visible marks on the wall, even when the range may be very small.
The small barreled handgun in the picture may not have the penetrating power to go through the skull twice.
Also, the 'suicide' may have occured while seated (turned facing away from the desk) the table could well have rolled back a bit after the person collapsed.
I support your statement as a murder because the pistol would definitely fall from her hand due to the opposite force exerted but the murderer placed the pistol in her hand to divert the attention of the cops and to make them feel like it's a suicide. Also the unplugged lamp wire and single slipper makes us feel that it's a pre-planned murder.
DeleteGokul.S
ReplyDelete2018103026
The very first impression on seeing the crime scene is in fact the conclusion that its not a suicide. This is pretty obvious as its impossible for the cigarette and the gun to perfectly land in the person’s hand after a supposedly huge gun shot.In fact, the cigarette is still so perfectly aligned between the person’s index and middle finger that makes it seem fatuous.Hence,it makes me feel that it was a murder. But,I also disagree with a lot of people because there is not enough evidence to concretely reach the conclusion that the person was left-handed.As told in a previous post, the position of the plug point and the length of the wire may have constrained the victim to place it in such a position. Also, it’s not a rule that a right handed person would place every single thing towards his right.Due to space constraint, the person could’ve kept the other things(plate, etc)towards the left of the table.I personally feel that the victim is a right handed person and the murderer has intentionally oriented everything towards the right as he would have obviously studied the person closely before going for the crime. Now,the pattern of the blood stain makes it so obvious for us to conclude that the murderer did not use his gun..He would’ve rather been choked to death(blood out of his mouth). The murderer would have finally tried to cover up his crime by writing a suicide note and handing the victim a cigarette(which probably belonged to the murderer himself)and a gun..His stale,empty-headed and careless brain would’ve made him leave his slipper back in the crime spot.
I agree with you when you say the cigarette could've been placed intentionally by the murderer and how he has oriented everything in a particular way, probably to throw the investigation off by a bit. Also the fact that you analysed the blood stain and stated that it could've possibly been due to choking gets me thinking. And the cover up suicide letter also convinces me that it is a murder. However, the one thing I don't agree on is that the murderer left his slipper behind. If he studied the person closely before going in for the kill, he is probably not so careless as to leave his slipper behind.

DeleteI replied to Gokul's, but forgot to add my name.
Keshav 2018103038
ReplyDeleteI have to disagree with the assertion made that the person was definitely left-handed.
Imagine a scenario where the person had finished doing something, taken off their glasses, used a lighter with their right hand -> the usage of a lighter requires more co-ordination than holding up a cigarette -> you would use your dominant hand to do it, and of course use the gun with the same hand.
If you were writing with your right hand, would you take a cigarette out of the box, or a can with your right hand or your left? Obviously you will use your free hand.
But I believe it was a murder.
The way the paper is tilted on the desk is also the natural angle at which a right-handed person writes, not how a left-handed one does it. However, the way the pen is placed is how you would place it down after writing with the left hand.
It must be noted that the gun seems secure in the victim's hands, which is very unlikely. After death, the muscles relax.
It must have been a murder carried out with a brief struggle. The lamp's plug was disturbed, and the stool was moved, and maybe the pen also fell down.
The slipper is in a very random place, and the other slipper is possibly behind the body which is not clear from the image. It must also have been moved due to the struggle.
After the murder, the perpetrator planted the gun and half-burnt cigarette (which may have fallen down and been extinguished in the struggle) in the victim's hands and then wrote the suicide note.
Your analysis about the use of the dominant hand to do challenging tasks is definitely an insightful one and the fact that using a lighter demands more coordination than holding a cigarette seems valid. But, do you mean to say the killer is a left handed person as you have mentioned the way the pen being placed coincides with how a lefty would?
DeleteRaghavaraju kavya sree
ReplyDelete2018103086
From the whole picture i think it's a planned murder. Here are my assumptions:
1.I think killer entered the room through door beacause there is no way to enter frm the window as it is locked.
2.There are no blood marks on the man from front side it represents that killer haven't used the gun instead he hit man's head against the wall backside.
3.I think killer stood back of man and unplugged the light so that ,man cannot recognise him in the darkness. But man thought it's a powercut and removed his spectacles, stopped writing and kept the pen on table.
4.The way the pen is kept and the whole arrangement on the table shows that he is a left-handed person.
5. One cannot hold the gun after they shoot themselves but the man in the picture is holding it firmly that to in the right hand, may be the killer kept it in his hand to create that as a sucide.
5.Suppose if it is a suicide she
Would have smoked the whole cigarette and shot herself
Finally i conclude by saying that's a murder.

DeleteIf the killer hits the victim against the wall ,the blood mark would be the height of the victim. But in the above picture the blood mark is lesser height than victim .so it is not possible.
Name: Juanita J
ReplyDeleteAs from the given depiction, it seems deliberately lucid that the victim has been murdered. I infer so, on the pretext of the following reasons:
Though the picture depicts a few residues to vindicate that the girl has commited suicide, there are predominant hints to uphold that this is a murder. This person is clearly a left hander, from the approach she holds the cigarrette and the direction of her pen cap.The lamp is been unplugged from the socket ,her spectacles and the papers are still unorganised ,which gives grounds that the person has been attacked without her notice, because a person who is about to commit suicide wouldn't be so negligent and remiss. It is also pellucid from the blood stains, that she has been shot from a distance. If not,the blood stain wouldnt be so high ,up the wall and the gun wouldnt be in her right hand. Thus the picture exposes an articulately perspicuous murder.
2018103544
DeleteYour assumption of the killer shooting her from a distance is a really good insight to the argument . Many others had already opined that it is a murder with repetitive points but none considered that if it was a close range murder the blood would have splattered all over the place due to the struggle and not exactly at a particular place.
DeleteSumaiya
DeleteI am convinced with your way of describing the crime scene and it portrays your clear perspective on the given situation.
This looks like a case of murder. Here are the reasons:
ReplyDeleteShe is holding the half burnt cigarette ,so obviously she didn't shoot herself.
She's holding the gun in the opposite direction where the blood is splattered.
If she had committed suicide , the gun would not be in her hand .
And I don't think she is a left handed person. Coz.,the coke and a tray is placed on the left , so one would use their left hand for recreation. And the position of pen proves that she had written it with her right hand ..
So overall it's a planned murder..

I think its a murder .The justifications are:
1.First of all, the girl would be a left handed person .Its clearly seen through the position of the cigarette ash tray,a pack of cigarettes, the direction of the study lamp, the way the pen has been handled ,a plate, etc.
2.But the orientation of papers brings a difference here.Still most of the things support that the girl must be a left handed only. The real murderer would be a right handed person and would have left the papers in the way he/ she has written a note regarding the false suicide to distract the investigators view .
3.The girl is firmly holding the gun and cigarette which proves it to be a planned murder. If the girl has committed suicide, she would have definitely dropped the gun and the cigarette. Therefore, the murderer would have placed it firmly in her hands.
4.The girl's slipper is lying down in the middle .If it was a suicide, she wolud have been wearing it.She wolud have tried to escape from the murderer and left one of her slippers away. Therefore, it is a murder.
5.There should have been a heated arguement between the girl and the murderer and the murderer would have hit her hard against the wall which is evident from the amount of blood splash which is a not only a gun shot.Something would have taken place further.
Therefore, the murderer have planned clearly to distract the investigators but have failed to position the gun in her left hand .The murderer have planned to make everyone believe it to be a suicide.
I conclude it to be a murder.

I think it is a suicide because there is a alcohol bottle in the dustbin and he has smoked more than one cigarette which can be seen from the ash tray. So, from this we can say that he was in depression and addicted to alcohol and cigarette.
People generally commit suicide when they are at Peak of depression, anxiety and fear.
I feel that she has commuted suicide because of some depression.
The reasons why I feel that she had committed suicide are ,
1. She didn't finish her cigarette before committing suicide because she might have thought that smoking would help her tolerate the pain of death .
2.She has written a short note before her suicide to convey something about her suicide .
3. It can be seen from the picture that the room is organized and neat which shows that no one had intruded her room and attacked her .The room seems quiet.
From these observations I conclude that she had committed suicide due to depression.
How can you say that the arrangement in the room seems like no one has intruded? The scene can be in such a way where the murderer might have arranged all the things after he murdered her in order to leave no evidence.

DeleteAs you mentioned the room is organized, I don't feel so. Both the slippers are not in place and stool has been pushed down. Moreover , we have enough evidences that she is left handed, then how is the gun placed in right hand?

There is enough suspicion for both the cases.... But in my view I think it is murder because :
1. It was not a clever idea by the murderer to place the gun in the right hand because the victim is left handed.
2. The murderer turned off the light to make sure he does not get unnecessary attention from outside.
3. If it were a suicide, the gun would have fallen on the floor because during death a person loses all his power and here, the victim is holding it stiff.
I agree with your view that the victim might have dropped the gun after she was shot which may be due rigor mortis or reflexive actions of brain. So it seems to be a planned murder.

ReplyDeleteI think it's a planned murder, by the following assumption :
We can see that the blood has been scattered on the walls, which is to her right side but she holds the gun also in her right side, it is quite impossible because if she shot herself with a gun in her right hand then the blood must be scattered on the other side not on the same side .
If she is committed sucidie , she would have dropped the gun since we know that after death our body will lose the ability to hold things but she holds the gun with a grip , so it must be done by the murderer in order to portrait it as a suicide.
These assumptions made to think it as a murder.

1.first thing I observed is that the victim is too tall. So, if she shot herself then she would rather fall down in some other way. So, I think the murderer may arrange the victim's deadbody in that position.

It was a murder because there is only one sliper behind her if she commits suicide then there won't be only one slipper there..
The second clue is the position of her slipper because the slipper is beside her knees, this makes another clue of this was not a suicide..
Because the girl while falling off from the bench, there is a less chance of scattering the slipper in the position beside her knees..
The third important clue is the blood position and the position her head falls off.. It is not related as much.
If the girl commits suicide using the gun, then the position of blood will have continuous line when the girl falls off...
But in this picture there is only a blood shot there is no continuation line of blood..
Thia implies that she was shooted by someone when she waa doing some work in the table..
How can you take the position of slipper as a valid evidence? She seems like a drunkard and it may be due to the effect of alcohol on her.

I agree with Porkodi. She said about the slipper position and also that there is only one slipper was there. I think while the victim was fighting with the murderer the other slipper may go somewhere.

Its showing a clear case of murder.
The bulb positio showing the user is left hander.
The bulb switch is pulled out. therefore she was not using bulb, as she was not writing anything. Thus, papers and pen are arrangend there.
As she look holding the gun in right hand, does not indicate that she should shoot by herself.
There is marks of blood on wall, but not any mark of bullet, as it would be there if it was a shot mark.
cigarate in left hand would not remain, as if she fallen.
A flower pot is there on cup board near she has fallen, which should also fallen as by stoke she fallen. but it is not broken there, that signs, she didnt fallen by herself, but had been araanged like this by someone.
slipper and its location are not matching as if she had wore, slippers must be two, and near her leg. But it is far from her leg shows, slipper must be of the murderer.

This is a clear case of murder for these simple reasons:
1. Nobody can or will hold the gun firmly in his/her hand after they die. The murderer has obviously kept the gun in the victim's hand and closed it tightly without realising that this would be a strong evidence against him.
2. The spectacles that is on the table is not kept the way how normally it is kept. To make it look like a suicide, the murderer has removed the specs and kept it on the table
3. If she had shot herself with her right hand sitting on the stool, blood wouldn't have spluttered on that side of the wall. Further, she would have fallen on her back instead of sideways.
For the above mentioned logical reasons, I believe that it is a clear case of murder.

I think it is a murder by the following reasons.
The women had a half burned cigarette in her hand and left her writing incomplete. If she wants to commit suicide, she may commit suicide after smoking and completion of her writing. And also for commiting suicide no need to turn off the light. I think while she was doing her work someone killed her. At that time the chair may be fell down. And the Murderer try to make this incident as suicide by placing the gun on her hand.
Exactly mounika!..I agree with you ... Bcoz.. She is holding a half burnt cigarette in her left hand so she obviously didn't shoot herself. Then,as u said ,Basic human behaviour suggests that we tend to finish all our work before committing suicide. So she would have finished her cigarette first before having to kill herself. But she did not...Besides,when you commit suicide by gun your body releases all tension, meaning the gun would not be in their hand.So it is definitely a murder as u said,mounika...

It is very obvious that it is a murder:
1) First, look at the victim’s fingers on the gun. Her finger is not around the trigger, as would be expected if pulling the trigger were her last act. Instead, her finger is outside the trigger guard.
2) If she had been sitting on the stool, facing away from the desk, and shot herself in the head, that resulting blood spatter would have a bullet hole in the middle of it.
3) Gun & cigar was still intact in her hands, a person who falls from a chair will definitely lose any item in their hands due to the impact.
It is amazing that you have noticed the finger of the victim and I agree with that point. So it explains that it must be a well planned murder.

ReplyDeleteThe following reasons made me conclude that it was a murder:
1 . If she had committed suicide ,
obviously the gun will be at near contact range, causing a burn mark around the wound. There is no possibility for the blood to spatter in the wall . So I guess it is a murder because only when the bullet exits the body there can be blood spatter (long contact range). If it is a suicide due to near contact range the bullet cannnot exit and there can be no blood spatter so it must be a murder .
2 . Also if it was a suicide ,the victim holds the gun in her right hand which will make her fall on her left . So the bloodstain pattern confirms that it is a murder. And also other factors like half burned cigarette,
Unfinished death note etc.....

I think it's a murder. In case it's a suicide it may be assumed that the paper on the table is a suicide letter and after writing that she shoots herself and fallen with the chair . But the blood stain is on the right side wall and so the gun should be in her left hand but the gun is on her right hand. So it seems that it's not a suicide.
And the unplugged light, one slipper on the floor , cigarette in her left hand also seems like it is a murder...
This looks like a clear case of murder. Here are our reasons:

As u said, the person is clearly left-handed. The lamp is placed to the right side which is again a common tendency for a left-handed person. She is even holding a half burnt cigarette in her left hand so she obviously didn't shoot herself. Then,as ur point of view, she's holding the gun the opposite direction where the blood splatter is at. The point of impact and the blood splatter speak otherwise. So I agree with you ...leelavathi

From the following assumptions it seems like a murder.
1. The cigarette isn't finished or dropped from the fingers which shows that the victim was still smoking just before the murder took place.
2. The spattering of blood shows that it wasn't a suicide. Generally if people commit Suicide the angle of the shot will be higher and not in line with the head.
3. The position of the pen , papers , glasses and books show that the victim was clearly left handed and the gun might be kept in the right hand after the murder.
4. The stool is below the desk and not outside the desk. If it was a suicide it would have been slightly outside the desk and not right below it.
5. The murdered could have kept a unfinished cigarette in the left hand of the victim to make it look like a suicide. Muscles won't be tight enough to hold a cigarette after death.
Therefore by the following assumptions , I think it's a murder

For me, it looks like a Murder. The justifications are,
The victim seems left handed. As the cigarette, the ashtray, the pen, and the juice can are all on the left of the paper. The light source is on the right (nondominant side).
The weapon is in the person's right hand, and the blood splatter looks like the person was shot from the left side. This conflict of data leans heavily towards eliminating suicide.
Also, the fact that the person holding the gun firmly and the unfinished cigarette makes me conclude it as murder.

From my perspective, the given picture clearly depicts murder. The possibilities that lead me to this conclusion are :
1) The lady is left handed which can be seen from the cigarette, pen and the juice tin. The lamp is also on her right(which is not her dominant side).
2)The lamp is seen unconnected which might be due to the rush of the murderer, jumping in right through the window.
3) The lady is shot from the left which can be seen from the blood stain on the wall.
4) Muscles can't hold a thing so tight after death. But here the victim can be seen holding a cigarette, which might be a trick played by the murderer to make the crime look like a suicide.
From these possibilities , I conclude that it is a murder.

ReplyDeleteAfter keenly observing the scene of crime in the picture, I am able to deduce that it is a murder, based on the following reasons:
1. The surface area of the blood stain on the wall, clearly indicates that the person was shot on the head, very close to the wall.
2.The height of the blood stain from the floor, clearly shows that the shot was fired, when either the victim was bending to place or pick something up or was coerced against the wall.
3. When the brain takes a direct hit, as in the case of a bullet wound, it shuts down almost instantaneously, which inturn results in the body losing all kinds of motor and spinal reflexes, spontaneously. Therefore, the gun in the right hand and the cigarette in the left, will never be in that position and would probably have been dropped by the victim, as a consequence. From this it is evident that, the cigarette and the gun were planted in the scene of crime by the assailant, to deliberately scuttle the investigation and we can, without an iota of doubt, rule out the suicide theory.
4. There appears to be no evidence of a scuffle having taken place, as almost everything in the picture seems undisturbed. This shows that either the victim was unaware of the assailant or was under coercion.
5. If we take into account another scenario, wherein, let’s say, the victim spotted the assailant before being shot, that could justify the fallen stool, and the dislodged slippers, as the victim would have invariably panicked and tried to escape. Regarding the missing slipper, there is a possibility that it could be beneath the victim.
Taking all this into consideration, I can safely come to the conclusion that this is a murder.

It seems like a murder, not a suicide since gun is hold in very tight manner and the cigarette is unfinished. There is possiblity that the killer could have killed him using the gun and kept the gun to show it like a suicide
If she had shot by herself the bullet would come out from his body but there is no bullet marks in this picture.
The placement of the things such as angle of unplugged bulb, pen paper, specs shows that she must be a left hander. Even though she holds cigratte in left hand .since, she was the left handed the shoot was indeed fired from the left side as the blood on the wall and the window indicates but the firearm is in right hand.so, the murderer shot her and placed the gun in her right hand to make it like a suicide.
Also, in the table she started to write one letter and it left incomplete..the pen cap was not closed.she might be in smoking Meanwhile the killer killed her and kept the gun in hand.

ReplyDeleteAccording to me, it looks like a murder .These clues lead me to this conclusion.
1)Muscles won't be strong enough to hold something after the death. But in this picture it seems that she is holding the cigar tightly, which might be a trick played by the murderer.
2)The victim is left-handed. But the gun is on her right hand. The murderer should have been in a hurry because he/she placed the gun on the victim's non-dominant side.
3)As the murderer was in a hurry he/she probably missed one of his/her slippers.
4)Generally a smoker would smoke completely before doing anything. But the victim can be seen holding a unfinished cigar. This clearly indicates that the crime is not a suicide.
Thereby I conclude that it is a murder.
The following clues led me to conclude that it was obviously a murder .The reason why I said it was murder is
ReplyDelete1. She holds a cigarette on left hand which shows that she is a left handed.
2. And also the pen is seen on the left side and the lamp is on right side .It clearly proves that the victim is left handed.
3. victim is left handed, but she is seen holding the gun on her right hand .After death ,muscles won't have enough strength to hold something. But in this picture she is tightly holding a cigarette.
4. Even if she shot herself by chance ,gun should have been dropped at floor. But she is holding it . So someone murdered her and put the gun on her right hand . From all this evidences I conclude that it was a well planned murder.

The following case seems to be a murder.
Firstly, I would like to put forth my perspective to rule out the possibility of a suicide.
1. Assuming that she was facing the window and writing something (not a suicide note), the scene clearly indicates that she has fallen to her right from the chair. So, if she had committed suicide using the gun in her right hand, then there is no chance for the gun to be in her hand, as the gun would have popped out of her right hand due to the impact with the floor.
2. If she had shot herself using her right hand on the right forehead, then the blood splatter should have been on the left side of her. But the crime scene shows us that the blood splatter is to the right of her, which hints us about a murderer who has shot her from her left.
3. The pen and the cigarettes are on the left hand side which would mean that her dominant hand is her left one. To support this point, the lamp is on her right which is the general place where a left handed person would keep it. Even her glasses are on her left which is enough evidence to conclude that her dominant hand is left.To pull a trigger using one's non dominant hand is not anyone would choose. So it is clearly a planted evidence.
So this is what, i think, would have happened. The murderer pre plans the murder and shoots the victim using a gun. This is where she falls down and her hand unplugs the lamp when she falls. Then the murderer plants the gun in the victim's hand and escapes seemingly making it a suicide.

According to me,it looks like a murder because the victim has a unfinished cigar in the left hand and also we can see stains of blood on the wall ,but if the victim had shot himself
while he was seated there would be stains on the floor and not on the wall. Also there are some unfinished writing works on the table and the position of tablelight indicates that the victim is a left hander.Being a lefthander why would he shoot himself with the gun on his right hand.Incase he shot himself using his right hand he would have fell to his left and not to his right and the chances of blood stains on the wall is very less and also he had some unfinished writings on the table which reduces the probability that he had turned away from the table before committing suicide .So according to me it is a planned murder and the murderer had kept the gun in the victim's right hand after killing him

I guess the incident which has happened to the person is a murder.
1.The gun and the cigarette are in the hands which are surely not possible if she commited suicide. No one can hold things on their hands when they are unconscious. So there must have been a second person who had set that up.
2.The mess around there-like the fallen stool and a single slipper shows that she has searched for the gun to shoot the opposite person but was late and got shot. The slipper shows that she ran in hurry to the place in the photo when she saw the enemy.
3.From the papers and pen,I guess that the person is a some kind of writer. She must have written some article against some political party and they should have taken revenge on her.
4.The lamp plug is out from the electric socket.I guessed that the person should have tried to move by grabbing the wire of the lamp.

My guess about the overall scene is that it should be a murder. In my opinion, it is a clearly planned murder and it is framed as a suicide.
The lady might be a writer , so paper on the desk might have been written by her. She might have the habit of smoking and drinking.
The splash of blood is clearly because of the gunshot by the murderer. The lady should have become alert as soon as the murderer entered the room. So, the murderer might have shot her on her head and to remove the evidence he might have placed the gun in her hand so that it will be framed as a suicide.

According to me , the picture depicts the incident is murder that is happened as planned thing..
So the reasons are,
-There is only one slipper in the photo that in the ground , now if she shot herself she should have her slippers on her feet or both her slippers should be on the ground where she placed it .But it is not in this case. It show she lost the slippers during a struggle with the murderer.
– Cigarette in left hand shows she is a left handed person, she can`t shot herself by right hand.
– She is shown written something on a paper .but the table lamp is not connected with the wall socket.
–She is also holding a cigarette in her left hand. she should have dropped the cigarette before shooting if it is a suicide.
– Now she is shown shot in his right side of head and there is blood in the wall on the right side.
– If it is a suicide the impact of bullet should have caused her to fall to his left side but he is shown fall to his right side, this shows a presence of murderer who caused the body to fall on the right side.
-When you commit suicide by gun your body releases all tension, meaning the gun would not be in their hand.
- To make it look like a suicide, the murderer has removed the specs and kept it on the table and kept his/her gun inside her hand.

ReplyDeleteI think this is a well planned murder. The following things that I observed in the picture led me to this conclusion.
1)Things that are on table like the lamp on the right side and pen on the left side shows clearly that dead person is a left hander. But the gun is in right hand
of the victim. And a cigarette in the left hand. How the victim could have committed suicide by triggering the gun holding a cigarette on the other hand. I think the murderer had placed the gun in the right hand of the dead person without knowing that he is a left Hander in a rush.
2) Another thing is that there is a single slipper lying in the floor. I think that belongs to the victim, this might have happened during the struggle when the murderer tried to kill her.
3)And another thing that I observed was there was a written note left incomplete on the table. A person committing suicide won't leave an incomplete death note. So she was writing something else.
and another thing the murder left as a clue was the lamp not connected to the wall socket. Since the victim was writing she might have used the lamp as it was night time which can be seen from the windows reflection. When she struggled to escape from murderer the lamp might have disconnected. The murderer might have replaced it on table without connecting to the socket. So the whole thing was a setup done by the murderer after killing her.
I agree with your point because of the things she still holds onto that one would loose grip off. Also the unplugged lamp wire and a single slipper leaves us to think of a pre-planned murder.

ReplyDeleteI feel the following case is a perfectly planned murder due to following reasons:-
1.The juice can is placed on left side of the table and we can see her holding cigarette on left hand, and lamp is placed on right side. This proves that she is left-handed. And gun is in her right hand.
2. Moreover, the note she wrote seems to be incomplete and cigarette is half burnt. If it was a suicide, she would have completed the note and would have burnt her cigarette full.
3.If she had shot her herself, the momentum of the gun would have resulted in her dropping of gun. She seems to hold the gun firm. Apart from that , place would have become much more messier if she had shot herself, there is only one blood spot on right hand side which is a clear indication of murder.
4.We can conclude that the murderer tried to act smart by closing the windows in order to portray it like suicide.
These all evidences hence, conclude that it is a murder and not a suicide.

For the following reasons, this does not appear to be a suicide:
It is evident from the picture that the room is well organized ( Books are neatly arranged and the alcohol cans are correctly placed in the trash bin. The flowers in the vase do not appear to be dried up which shows that she watered it frequently. ) Another thing to be noticed is that there are no cuts or bruises on her body which indicates that she was not in depression. In my opinion, anyone on the verge of taking their own life wouldn’t worry about keeping the place tidy and structured. This clearly depicts that the individual in anyway did not try to end her life.
Also, as stated by most of them, if it were a suicide, the gun should have dropped off her hands as the nervous system would lose its reflexes immediately. Comparing on the same line, if it were a suicide, there should’ve been gun powder residuals that are obviously missing in the hand of victim or neighboring affinity site.
Suicide shots are mostly done at a close range, but as blood is splashed across the wall, this seems to be a long range shooting.
So, I am presuming the following happened. On seeing the murderer, the girl got panicked and attempted to flee by jumping out of the window. All her attempts went futile as she got shot and toppled over the stool, making her slippers randomly fly away. Upon falling to the ground, her hand unplugged the cable from the socket. The killer then places the gun in her hand to erase any of his fingerprints and writes a suicide note to make up for the incident.

I would say that the woman in the picture has been murdered in cold blood by someone who has executed the plan ,not so cleverly and with some flaws. Before we get into the flaws, the thought of assuming it's a murder and not a suicide arises because of the too much of obvious pointers(not the correct ones) showing it's a suicide. So,one tends to think the crime scene as a set-up to look like a suicide more than an actual suicide. Then,we look at the flaws in the plan of the murderer.According to the scene, the victim supposedly wrote a note and put a bullet through her head. So,she was sitting on her stool and fired the shot with her right hand(shown in the pic). This contradicts with the blood spatter to her right which would mean she was left-handed.So,either she switched the gun between her hands after dying or the possible one:someone placed the gun in her hand, meaning someone had killed her.
Sayf Zakir Hussain
ReplyDeleteI believe that the scene has been set up to look like a suicide but is infact a murder.I have made this conclusion on the following observations:
The first thing anyone will notice in the picture is the splatter of blood on the wall, and the blood splatter cannot be caused if she shot herself while she was sitting on the stool placed that far away from the wall.
Another important point to be considered is that she fell down with her palms over the gun and has still held on to it tight which simply isn't possible.
The killer has done a pretty good job in setting up the crime scene as most people would initially think that the girl has committed suicide judging by the near perfect condition of the room.

From the picture it looks clearly that it is a murder. The victim seems to be a left hander as she holding the cigarette in her left hand. How can the victim use the right hand to do such a difficult job of triggering the pistol using the weak right arm. General tendency of a person committing suicide is to complete the jobs before comitting suicide. But both the writing work and the cigarette are not finished.
The blood strains is also not looking as such it is caused by using the pistol. The wire is plugged out of the switch board, the chair is lying on the floor and there is only one footware in the frame. These things shows that the victim must have tried to escape from the murderer. In my point of view it is a murder based on the above reasons.

I guess the incident was a murder based on the following reasons.
1 . From the papers and the pen , I guess that the person is some kind of a writer . He would have been writing journals about some political issue.or He must have wrote an article against a party and they should have took revenge on the person .
2.the pen which was left open ensures that person was writing the must have entered the scene and he took gun to shot at the murderer.
3.the fallen stool and a single slipper shows that when he stand to shoot ,he was shot dead and fell on the chair which was slipped and the slippers have also slipped from legs.
4.since the cigarette was new and it was not yet fired shows that it was not a sucide.
5.since we use our power hand in emergency.so she was right hander and the pen and cigarette were left on left hand side to confuse the cops.
6.one will not bother about cleanliness of the room while committing sucide.so she had no plan for committing sucide.it sure must be a sucide.

In my point of view, The picture looks like a murder. Because she is holding the pistol in her right hand. The blood also spattered in her right hand. That is impossible.
She is smoking on than time. She didn’t finish the cigar.People committing suicide tend to finish all work .
Thus, by the above reasons, that can be a murder.

->If he was facing his desk as the seat hints, then the blood splatter is obviously on the wrong side. It should have been the opposite direction.
DS:
The man was most likely left-handed, ash tray to the left, pen to his left, cola to the left, a lamp to the right so that his shadow wouldn't obscure him writing when he writes, and the cigarette is in his left hand. So, it would have been awkward for him to shoot himself with his right hand.
The cigarette is also left unfinished which would be odd for a suicide especially with an ashtray so nearby.
He was also likely sitting when he was shot given that the blood splatter is about the level his head would be if he was shot sitting down. More specifically, the blood splatter indicates that he was shot from the left.
Either he noticed someone approach him, turned around and was shot, or he sat down at his desk, started smoking and then used his right hand to shoot himself in the head so that the bullet entered the left side of her head, or he completely turned away from the desk and shot himself with his right hand so that the bullet entered the right side of his head.
Pretty much every angle she could have shot himself with his right hand that simultaneously could reasonably cause a blood splatter on the wall like that would be difficult and awkward.
Unrelated but perhaps significant, it would seem that the murder occurred during the day since the lamp is unplugged. What a weird though, who unplugs their lamp when they're not using it? I guess she was very conscious of her electric bill.
Some other points I wanted to toss out:
×Most suicide shots are angled slightly upwards.
×A shot to the side of the head, in the mouth, or to the front of the chest is usually suicide. Wounds located anywhere else are most likely a murder.
×The gun was found in the hand in less than 25.7% of individuals. Because, when you commit suicide by gun your body releases all tension, meaning the gun would not be in their hand.
All of this suggests murder.

After observing keenly,I state this as a murder.
1.Well it's dark outside and lamp is unplugged and switched off.Hence, the murder must have taken place in the daylight.
2.The arrangement of paper and pen indicates that she is right handed and only the body would have fell facing that direction only if the bullet came from the opposite direction.
3.The blood stain on the wall also supports the previous point.
4.One would loose grip of anything holding in the hand if the shot themselves.
So the murderer must have placed the gun and the cigarette in her hands finding out that she is right handed.
5.Also one would not smoke keeping their window closed and suffocate themselves with their own smoke.
Btw,if u have watched the Banker episode of Sherlock you would get it right 😄
According to your observation you are saying that the victim is right handed but actually the victim is a left handed person because the lamp is placed on the right side of the table and the murderer without noticing this placed the gun in right hand of the victim, this isthe biggest clue which he left after killing her.

From the picture ,it is clear that it is a murder which is well organised to look up like a suicide..
1)As the house is clean, books are well arranged , everything in that room are properly arranged..it shows us that the lady was not in the idea of committing suicide.
2)Since the alcohol bottles are properly placed in the garbage tin , it is evident that she was not in the confused state..as person who is in the minset of committing suicide would probably in confusion and scatter things here and there.
3)she was having a ciggarate in her left hand and a gun in her right hand..ignoring the point whether she's a right handed person or a left handed person...if a person who's abt to commit a suicide would have placed the cigarette down and used her gun for hurting herself...as she was having that in her hand..it implies that the gun was placed in her hand by the muderer.
4)The stool lying on the floor implies that the lady was shocked on seeing the muderer and when she was giving a try to escape ,the stool fell down.
5)The blood scattered on the wall..implies that the lady was shoot from reasonably long distance.
Papers lying on the table would give us the idea that it must be a suicide which could be the murderer's well organised plan..

Based on the given picture, I strongly believe that what has happened to that lady is a well planned murder. I arrived at this conclusion by noticing a few key terms in the picture.
1.When the lady was killed, she was holding the gun so still in her right hand. If, she had committed suicide then she wouldn't be able to hold the gun.
2.She also had an unfinished cigarette on her left hand which completely mismatches with the fact that she has committed suicide.
3.Another important fact is that we see patches of blood on the wall which was right behind the lady. This fact makes me assume that she should have been shot by some stranger straight on the head.

ReplyDeleteAnalysing the crime scene I conclude that it's a murder and definitely not a suicide.
The following points prove my hypothesis.
1.Its evident that the victim is a lefty. The orientation of the lamp and the books on the right side proves it. As a left handed person myself, I can say its extremely difficult for us to perform activities with the right hand. So it's highly improbable that she would shoot herself using her right hand.
2. The open pen cap, incomplete notes and the unfinished cigarette tells us that the victim was attacked when she was smoking.
People who decide to take their lives hesitate a lot before actually killing themselves, they tend to complete their work before committing suicide, its not a momentary thought.
3. The single slipper and fallen chair suggests that there could have been a struggle when the murderer tried to kill the victim. If she had committed suicide the impact wouldnt have caused any damage to the chair or the slipper.
4.The most convincing reason for me is the wrinkles on her shirt suggest that she was definitely dragged and placed at the corner and also positioning of her legs support this fact. When a person falls normally its most unlikely that they will end up like in the picture.
Summing up my points this is what that could have possibly happened
The victim was smoking during a break or after writing something. The murderer broke in, the victim did not anticipate an intruder but when she is attacked she tries to escape, thus pushing the chair down and losing her slipper but she fails. She is shot and the killer who does not know the handedness of the victim places the gun on her right hand drages her to the corner and flees.
I feel like this is a murder because she doesn't seem to have a reason to kill herself. Everyone smokes and drinks and there doesn't seem to be any alcohol abuse, just a bottle in the trash can. And I kind of feel like the position in which she's lying on the floor is inconsistent with her sitting on the chair and facing the table. A normal gun bullet wouldn't necessarily go through the whole skull and by the way she must have been sitting , the blood splatter seems inconsistent as well. So this kind of seems staged. This most probably is a murder but I won't rule out the possibility of it being a suicide.

In woman in the above picture is murdered but she is set up in such a way that the crime appears to look like a suicide. There are a few hints in the picture that would substantiate my statement.
1.The woman holds the gun with her right hand.If she had commited suicide according to her sitting position, with the gun held in her right hand, she would have fallen to her left side. The blood splatter would also have been in the left side. The murderer made a mistake in placing the gun in the wrong hand. But this supports my statement only partially.
2.If she had commited suicide then she wouldn't have been holding on the gun so tightly that it still didn't fall off from her palms.
3.There is only one slipper lying on the floor. It could also be the murderer's slipper as someone would have heard the gunshot and he would have been in a hurry to leave the house quickly. So he might have forgot to wear his slipper.
4.The blood splatter seems far away from the victim's sitting position. This also proves that she didn't commit suicide.
5.Placing a gun to one's own head and pulling the trigger is not a simple thing to do.So the fact that she was simultaneously smoking while pulling the trigger makes no sense. The killer placed the cigarette on her hand to make the murder look less obvious and to make the investigators think that she was a drug addict and commited suicide due to depression. But the killer didn't realise that he was making a big mistake and certainly didn't know the consequences.

The given picture brings out a deliberate murder. I conclude so on the following grounds:
The girl is clearly a lefthander, from the way she holds her cigerratte and the direction of the pen cap. And the unorganized manner of the papers and the unplugged lamp has a clear indication that the girl has been attacked, without notice. The blood stain in the wall also shows that the girl has been shot from a distance.Though, the picture has clues to appear as a suicide,it is clearly a murder.

ReplyDeleteMy point is that it is definitely a murder. To show this is murder i'd like to note he is writing something which is on the desk. Even if we assume it is suicide he would have choosen hanging or poison instead of getting a gun shot over himself and the guns were not common among people in most countries. To add more we could see he was holding cigarette and thinking deeply about what to write. He may be an journalist and he might have wrote some illegal stuffs about some particular group they may have a long time vegence over him and they could have murdered him or bcoz of political reasons too. The murderer might thought to make this as a setup of suicide. So,he put the gun to the journalist's hand.
Also the journalist might tried to attack the murderer. So he threw the one slipper over to the murderer.

Suicide by means of gun is pretty common in many countries. On what grounds would an average person prefer poison or hanging to a quick gunshot to commit suicide? I believe that your preference of means of suicide argument is a weak one in this particular situation.

It think it's not a suicide!!
It's dark outside and we can see lamp is unplugged and switched off.Hence, the murder must have taken place during daylight.
The arrangement of paper and pen on the table indicates that she is right handed and only the body would have fell facing that direction only if the bullet came from the opposite direction. The blood stain on the wall also supports this point.
One would loose their grip of holding anything in their hand if they shot themselves. So the murderer must have placed the gun and the cigarette in her hands finding out that she is right handed.
Also one would not smoke keeping their window closed and suffocate themselves with their own smoke.

After going through the picture I conclude by saying that the lady was murdered. I arrived at this conclusion by the following reasons.
1. We see patches of blood right behind the girl. So I assume that she has been shot by a stranger from a fair distance.
2. We see the girl holding a gun still in her right hand and that contradicts with the case in suicidal events.
3. She also had an unfinished cigarette on her left hand which proves that she has been murdered by someone because if she had committed suicide then she would have finished the cigarette.

I believe that the lady given in the picture was murdered. There are two types of suicide generally, impulsive and non-impulsive. It is pretty evident that it is neither as
1.) There is a chair lying on the ground. There is a good chance that the murderer and the victim had a fight before the victim's death.
2.) There is only one slipper lying on the ground. Where is the other? It can be possible that it might've been misplaced during the said fight.
3.) There are so many facts that the victim is a left hander. But the papers are oriented for a right handed person. Hence it can be assumed that the killer wrote a suicide note to make it look like a suicide.
3.) It is very improbable for the victim to be in that position with blood spattered on the other direction. Even if she shot herself she'd have fallen towards the wall instead of her current position.
4.) When a person faces extreme turmoil like when being shot their motor skills don't work or in other words it is improbable for them to hold anything on either of their hands unless forcefully kept to change the direction of the investigation.
Hence I'd like to conclude that the lady given in the picture was murdered.

After close observation, I've arrived at the conclusion that this is a not so well planned murder, here are the reasons why:-
1) In the given picture, it is clear that the girl was doing her work as we could see her glasses, bunch of papers on top of the ledge. When the girl was confronted by the killer with the gun, her obvious instinctive reaction would be for her was to panic and stand up(the reason for this assumption is because we can see that the blood stains is pretty high up on the wall).
2) If we observe closely, we can see that the pen is placed to the left side of the paper, and pretty much most of the things she needs are placed towards the left(the pack of cigarettes, the Coca-Cola, etc). These observations bring me to the conclusion that the girl is obviously LEFT HANDED. Assuming she did commit suicide, why would she have the gun on her right hand?and the fact that she's gripping the gun so hard makes it obvious that the killer didn't clearly think this through when he PLANTED THE GUN IN HER RIGHT HAND.
2) In the picture, we can clearly see that the stool is placed under the ledge adjacent to the girl's body. Assuming she did commit suicide, wouldn't the stool be right under her legs and obviously not next to her? From the previous point, we concluded that the girl is left handed. Again, assuming that she did commit suicide, wouldn't her legs be on the other side after she shot her herself? But in the picture, it's pretty obvious that her legs were on the other side and yet the killer didn't think this through.
All these observations, brings me to the conclusion that the killer is obviously is an amateur and I'm assuming he'd probably be in his 20s.

Krithik atlast we have something common to concur. As I told earlier if she had committed suicide how did the chair fall down. Mostly importantly the positioning of her legs and wrinkled cloth tell us clearly that she was dragged and place at the corner. The killer is definetly an amateur as he didn't destroy the evidences and also placed the gun in the wrong hand

I suspect this to be a murder.
Some points to support my argument.
1.The direction of the Gun and the blood splatter really don't seem to match.He/She has a cigarette on the left hand and the workplace seems to imply that the victim is a left hander. So its practically not possible to shoot oneself with a two things in a hand. It looks like someone had shot him/her down and placed the gun in her hand, so that it doesn't seem like a murder.
2. The things around the person seem scattered. If she/he had committed suicide, why would they do it so messy?. Mostly people who suicide either write a note, or don't leave a clue on why they committed suicide.
3. The lamp cord seems to be plugged out. I don't think anyone would plug out the lamp cord and leave it hanging there. So I strongly feel there is a second person in this frame. The murderer would have wanted to kill that person in the dark and Since it was night then( assumption from the shade of the windows), the lamp would have been the only source of light, and so the murderer might have plugged it out.
4. The murderer probably watched the victim so carefully. that he had planned to murder him/her when he/she was in the influence of alcohol. (Vulnerability).
5. The stool beneath the victim and the slipper adds on to the fact that he/she was murdered. The victim would have trembled in pain and would have fallen off the stool.
Thank You

I believe this entire scene has been staged to imply a suicide when in reality, it is a murder.
Apart from the orientation of the hand, there are other signs of murder.
The subject is shown to be firmly gripping the gun but a dead person in actuality would have freer hands. Therefore, the gun would have fallen off the subject's hands if she had killed herself, which is clearly not the case.
There's a stool in the picture. This points to the fact that the subject was probably sitting before her demise. But the stool is in an unnatural "staged" position whereby the murderer is trying to convey that the victim fell off before taking her life. However, the murderer has done a shoddy job because the stool has been placed right next to the subject, under the desk which seems extremely artificial, position-wise.

From my point of view it seems to be a planned murder but I think the murderer assumes that the arrangements made by him/her is enough to make the cops to assume that it would be a murder.
Here are few points
-In this picture we could able to see the victim was lying down the ground but the right hand of the victim is still holding a gun .
-The placement of mug, cigarette packet, ash tray, pen and light lamp were point out that the victim might be a left handed .But the specs and papers were miss matched from the above .
-The blood on the wall and the floor shows that it would be a murder.

From my standpoint, the given picture portrays a MURDER.
Primarily, the presuppositions to assume that she is a left-handed person :
1) Position of the pen
2) Position of the pen's cap
3) Arrangement of required articles on her left side
4) Holding cigarette in her left hand
5) Position of the lamp:
# The lamp's position cannot be neglected, since the dark background of the window speculates that it is night time.
# If she is a right-handed person, then such position of lamp will undeniably cast shadow of her hand.
Hereby, we can surmise that, she is a left-handed person.
The suspicions those made me believe that it is a murder:
✓Being a left-handed person, she would never try to use her right hand to shoot herself.
✓It can be speculated that she was murdered, because the direction of the blood that splattered clearly depicts it.
✓Weird appearance of a slipper
✓Stance of the chair
✓Posture of the lady
These are some of the suppositions, those can be taken into consideration to conclude that it is absolutely a MURDER.
Thank you!!!
